    What I Can Do Today

    I'm one person, not a call centre, so I'll be straight with you. I work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, and an active leak goes to the front of the queue. In most cases I can be on your roof within one to two working days, and most tile roof leaks are found and fixed on that first visit. If you call outside those hours, leave a message and I'll call you back first thing.

    Ring 027-244-6818 and tell me where the water is showing up inside. That tells me where to look on the roof.

    First visit

    I walk the roof, find the fault, photograph it and fix it there and then if it's a repair I do. You see the photos the same day.

    No upsell

    You get a repair, not a sales pitch. If the roof needs more than a repair, I'll tell you and you can decide.

    While You Wait For Me

    Catch the water

    A bucket or towel under the drip. If the ceiling is bulging, a small hole in the centre with a screwdriver lets the water out in one place instead of spreading.

    Move what matters

    Shift furniture, electronics and anything on the floor away from the wet area.

    Take a photo

    A photo of the stain and where it is in the house helps me work out where to look on the roof.

    Stay off the roof

    Wet tiles are slippery and a cracked tile will break under your weight. Leave the roof to me.

    If your leak turns out to be one of the ones on the right, I'll tell you on the spot rather than take the job on.

    If tiles have blown off in a storm and the roof is open to the weather, that's a bigger job than one person can safely do the same day. Call a roofing company with a crew for that one.

    I'm based in Takanini, so Papakura, Manurewa, Manukau, East Tamaki, Botany, Howick, Pakuranga and Flat Bush are all a short drive. I cover Pukekohe and the Franklin area as well. Concrete and clay tile roofs only.

    No. I work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. An active leak gets fitted in as early as I can, usually within one to two working days. If you need someone on the roof tonight, a larger roofing company with a crew is the right call.

    Single-storey roof repairs I quote if the job is over $300 + GST, two-storey over $400 + GST. Smaller jobs I do on the spot, which saves you paying for a quote on a job that costs less than the quote itself.

    In most cases the fix is quicker than a tarp: a cracked tile swapped, a cap re-pointed, a valley cleared. I'd rather come and fix it than come twice.

    Then I'll tell you. Condensation, plumbing and flashing problems all show up as a wet ceiling. You won't pay me for a roof repair you don't need.
